DeVos Institute of Arts Management selects Deckard to join its highly esteemed three-year Global Arts Fellowship
The DeVos Institute at the University of Maryland has chosen a new class of seven arts managers from around the world to participate in its highly competitive program that provides practical training in arts administration. This year’s seven fellows represent fewer than 3% of applicants. The Fellowship provides intensive practical training in nonprofit arts management, finance, planning, fundraising, board management, and marketing. The program has served over 250 arts managers from 56 countries. DeVos Institute Chairman Michael M. Kaiser launched the Fellowship program in 2001 during his tenure as President of the Kennedy Center. In 2008, the Institute introduced the current, intensive model of of one month in residence each summer for three years and transitioned to the University of Maryland from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2014.
Deckard joins faculty of University College at the University of Denver
Paul Deckard has joined University of Denver’s Nonprofit Leadership program as a new instructor for Nonprofit Finance. Starting in June 2019, Deckard will be piloting the program’s new Financial Management courses for graduate students in nonprofit leadership and arts and cultural management.
